Philosophy

Jebel believes in preserving tradition and business integrity. Jebel honors the past and present of the Berber culture. Not only do we employ only Berber women paid at above market wages, but we also donate 5% of our profits to the neighboring villages, schools and communities.

We also seek to improve the standards in which the process of Argan oil is created to preserve thousands of years in our product. Not only is the Argan tree a rare species but the number of trees is slowly declining due to deforestation. We at Jebel have acquired our own supply from family-owned and operated lands, set within a UNESCO biosphere reserve. We select only the finest nuts and from there we use only the white kernels of the nut, where the best attributes of the Argan oil is produced. We only employ Berber women who have knowledge of centuries-old techniques for extracting the "liquid gold" of Morocco. And while most cooperatives use machines in their process to extract the oil, Jebel Corporation is the only company that takes pride in its standards for hand pressing the oil. This arduous process involves hand-pressing the kernels between two large slabs of rock grinding them into a paste. The paste is then worked to extract the oil. This process is slow, laborious and requires an average of four hours to make a liter of argan oil. This traditional method guarantees a 100% cold press which yields the best qualities for the oil. This means you get the highest quality of Argan serum, with none of its nutrients lost. To further ensure its potency, the final product is then packaged in UV-protected recyclable glass bottles.

Jebel Corporation aspires to differentiate our products from other Argan oils by maintaining a traditional approach to the process. Not only are we committed to ensuring the independence of Berber and local women, but Jebel Corporation is also firmly invested in keeping the Argan oil tradition alive. We stand firmly behind our products and we believe they are the best on the market.
